a brief biography
Consumer ephemera provide Amy Orr with consistent sources of inspiration and working materials. Orr’s artwork has been widely exhibited and published internationally. She graduated with a BFA from Bezalel Academy, Israel, an MA from the University of the Arts and an MFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University. Orr was a tenured college professor and art department chairperson, before resigning two years ago to refocus on her own artwork and independent creative projects. Amy Orr lives in Philadelphia with photographer, John Woodin and their son, Hal. She is represented by the Snyderman Works Gallery in Philadelphia.
